The trade season is starting up again and we have returned from our buying trip with some interesting pieces of stock.

At the fair we will be selling some items by Mathieu Mategot. Mategot was an important French Designer of the 20th century. His designs were inspired by modernist principles and developed into an individual style by using  different materials such as sheets of steel and pierced metal, coloured with touches of most commonly red, yellow, black and white paint. His designs are witty and elegant. The contribution he made to 1950’s French Design is paramount and today his original pieces and those which are re-editions are extremely sought after.
