With Maastricht round the corner and important auctions taking place around the world, the art and antiques market seems to be in full swing. As reported in a recent Antiques Trade Gazette the UK’s most important trading partner remains the US. We have noticed since the start of the year, that our website is receiving many more enquiries from the US. However most of our business remains in the UK and mainly London based.  Clients will happily enquire about an item but are most likely to decide once they have seen the object in situ. Since we do not have a showroom between Fairs we are always more than happy(at a reasonable distance) to arrange for the items to be tried on approval.

Mid-century modern furniture is still very much in vogue. Due to Interiors magazines such as House and Garden and World of Interiors, as well as Sunday supplements, people are seeing more and more that it is possible to mix 18th century pieces of furniture and complementing them with some quirky retro, vintage objects or good 20th century design furniture.  This is a positive trend which helps both modern design and traditional dealers work together and do business.

Some decorative and large abstract paintings have now been added to the site.
