There have been some interesting exhibitions taking place in the past few weeks. The Pavilion des Arts Decoratifs, PAD showed in Berkeley Square. A great setting in central London for a selected picking of international and national dealers selling top end 20th century design and art. This was closely followed by Frieze London, revamped this year and working in conjunction with the new highly applauded Frieze Masters – classical art shown in a contemporary way. For those looking for traditional antiques, the long standing BADA Winter Fine Art Fair at Olympia, was worth a visit. The major Paul Klee exhibition is now on at Tate Modern. As quoted by the Tate he was” A giant of 20th century art and one of the great creative innovators of the time”. His use of subtle colours and abstract cubist forms has influenced many artists and movements up to the present day.
Some objects, lighting and furniture we have recently bought after a trip to France, are now being restored ready for the forthcoming Decorative Fair in Battersea Park. www.decorativefair.com.
